Uttarakhand weather update: Change of weather possible around December 23

At present snowfall continues in the high mountains, while the weather remains dry in the plains. Meanwhile, the forecast is that due to the activity of Western Disturbance, the weather pattern may change from 23rd December. There is a possibility of snowfall on the peaks and drizzle in the lower areas. In such a situation, people of 5 districts will need to be cautious. The weather may change due to rain and snowfall in Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar districts.

Nowadays, there is bright sunshine amidst dry season in Uttarakhand. Due to which the maximum temperature is higher than normal, but the severity of cold is increasing in the morning and evening. Severe cold is being felt from the mountains to the plains in the morning and evening. There is a possibility of fog in the plain areas, especially in Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar. A warning has been issued regarding heavy frost in the mountainous areas. There may be a slight drop in temperature. Now the Meteorological Department says that from December 23, there may be snowfall in some districts due to western disturbance.
