Over 6 lakh register for Chardham Yatra 2023
So far, till March 26 more than six and a half lakh pilgrims have registered for the Char Dham Yatra for 2023 season. The registration is expected to pick up pace after the booking of helicopter service starts in the first week of April. The tourism department had started the registration for Chardham Yatra from February 21.
Initially registration was being done for the Yatra for Kedarnath and Badrinath. Registration for Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham started from March 15. So far more than 6.51 lakh passengers have registered for the journey. In this, 246983 passengers have registered for Kedarnath, 20815 for Badrinath, 100042 for Gangotri and 98668 for Yamunotri.

On the other hand, Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority has prepared to start booking of Kedarnath Heli service in the first week of April. IRCTC has also started trial of the portal for booking. Registration is mandatory for heli service. Due to which the registration of travel will be expedited after the booking of tickets for heli service starts.
