Lok Sabha elections 2024: Nomination process to start from tomorrow in Delhi

The Lok Sabha 2024 elections have started with the first phase of voting held on 19 April. This time the elections will be held across the country in seven phases. Voting is to be held in the sixth phase on May 25 in the capital Delhi.

For this, even though all the political parties are busy in registering their presence among the public in Delhi, its official beginning will be tomorrow with the process of nomination filing on 29th April. Along with this, a notification will also be issued tomorrow, Monday (April 29) for the voting to be held in Delhi on May 25. After which the election campaign period will begin.

The nomination process will start tomorrow at 11 am and will continue till May 6. Whereas nominations can be withdrawn till May 9. Candidates will be able to enroll between 11 am and 3 pm. Nomination can be done both online and offline. However, candidates filing online nomination will have to go to the office of the Returning Officer and give an affidavit that they will follow all the rules and follow the Model Code of Conduct.

Whereas candidates who file their nomination offline i.e. by going to the nomination office will have to file their nomination following the rules. During this period, a maximum of four people will be able to accompany them to the nomination office, while the candidates coming to file nomination within a radius of 100 meters of the office will be able to bring a maximum of 3 vehicles.
