Terrorist attack on Air Force convoy in Poonch, 1 soldier martyred, 4 injured

On Saturday evening, terrorists ambushed an Indian Air Force convoy in Surankot area of ​​Poonch district. During this, heavy firing was done on the Air Force convoy. The injured soldiers in the army vehicle which was attacked were taken to the Army Base Hospital. As soon as the input of the attack was received, a contingent of the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security forces reached the spot. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to nab the terrorist attackers. The search is on. Initial reports suggest that two terrorists were involved in this attack.

This is the first major attack in Jammu and Kashmir in the year 2024. While last year there were many attacks in Poonch and Rajouri. Since then the security forces are on high alert. And every major terrorist attack has been prevented. At present, the entire Poonch district has been put on high alert. The attack took place in Shah Sattar forest area. Which is surrounded by dense trees and falls between Sanai Top of Surankot and Gursai area of ​​​​Mendhar in the border Poonch district.
