Schools to remain closed in these districts of Uttarakhand on August 6 after rain alert issued
Rains wrecked havoc in the hilly regions of Uttarakhand. As per the latest weather update, rains are expected across the state throughout this week. In view of any untoward incident, the district administration of Almora, Pithoragarh, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Champawat, Pauri, and Udham Singh Nagar districts have issued orders to close all public and private schools till class XII. on August ,2025.

According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Center Dehradun, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in Chamoli district on August 6. In view of this, Additional District Magistrate Vivek Prakash has declared a holiday on August 6 in all government, non-government and private schools and Anganwadi centers operating in the district in view of the safety of the students.
