Markets rejoice on tariff relief; Sensex up by 1300 points, metal and pharma stocks surge

The effect of the 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs by President Donald Trump is being seen on the Indian stock market today, Friday. The market opened with a huge surge today and closed with a significant gain. The Bombay Stock Exchange index Sensex opened today with a huge gain of 988 points at 74,835. Tremendous buying was seen in the market throughout the day. Due to this, the Sensex closed at 75,157 with a gain of 1.77 percent or 1310 points. In the initial trade, out of 30 shares of Sensex, 28 shares were on the green mark and 2 shares were on the red mark. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty closed at 22,828 today with a gain of 1.92 percent or 429 points.
These shares saw the highest rise
Out of 2959 shares traded on NSE, 2381 shares closed on the green mark today. At the same time, 492 shares closed on the red mark. Today 35 stocks closed at their 52 week high and 18 stocks closed at their 52 week low. The highest gain in NSE stocks today was recorded in CAMLIN FINE SCIENCES by 20 percent, TREJHARA SOLUTIONS by 20 percent, GOLDIAM INTERNATIONAL by 20 percent, BINANI INDUSTRIES by 20 percent and GRAVITA INDIA by 18.20 percent.
Metal and pharma stocks jumped
Talking about sectoral indices, today all the indices closed in the green. The highest gain was recorded in Nifty Metal by 4.09 percent. After this, Nifty Pharma gained 2.43 per cent, Nifty Auto 2.03 per cent, Nifty FMCG 0.86 per cent, Nifty IT 0.69 per cent, Nifty Media 1.66 per cent, Nifty PSU Bank 1.29 per cent, Nifty Private Bank 1.54 per cent, Nifty Realty 1.26 per cent, Nifty Healthcare Index 1.53 per cent, Nifty Consumer Durables 3.19 per cent, Nifty Oil & Gas 2.20 per cent, Nifty Midsmall Healthcare 1.70 per cent, Nifty Midsmall Financial Services 1.45 per cent and Nifty Midsmall IT & Telecom 1.87 per cent.
