Stock market ends in green after flat opening on Dec 2

The first trading day of December was full of ups and downs in the stock market, the Sensex opened flat and first fell below 400 points, but as the day progressed, it started gaining momentum. When the market closed, the Sensex closed with a gain of 445 points. While both the Sensex and the Nifty started in red, the business closed with a green mark. Due to the rise in the stock market, investors gained Rs 3 lakh crore today.

Sensex and Nifty closed with gains on Monday. The stock market returned to its glory due to heavy buying in the realty sector. Nifty closed with a gain of more than 3 percent after the realty sector performed well. The Sensex closed at 80,248.08 with a gain of 445.29 points or 0.56 percent, while the Nifty closed at 24,276.05 with a gain of 144.95 points or 0.60 percent.

Nifty Realty, Metal, Media, Auto, IT, Financial Services, Pharma, Energy, Private Bank, Infra, Commodities closed in the green. Whereas, Nifty PSU Bank, PSE and FMCG closed in the red. UltraTech Cement, JSW Steel, Adani Ports, Tech Mahindra, M&M and Maruti were the top gainers in the Sensex pack. Whereas, NTPC, Hindustan Unilever, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IndusInd Bank, L&T and PowerGrid were the top losers.
