Dehradun records second hottest July in seven years

There was bright sunshine in Dehradun on Friday (July 26). This increased the mercury and increased the heat. Doon experienced the hottest July in seven years. The maximum temperature in Doon was 36.7 degrees. The same temperature was recorded on July 1 in 2019. The all-time record for July is 40.1 degrees in 1931. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Dehradun, Champawat, Nainital districts on Saturday. Apart from this, there is a possibility of lightning and heavy rain in Udham Singh Nagar and hill districts. According to Meteorological Director Dr. Bikram Singh, a yellow alert has been issued for four districts for this.

Heavy rain in Dehradun late at night

It rained in many areas in Dehradun on Friday. Whereas, it rained heavily around one o’clock late at night, which continued till one-thirty. Power went out in many areas. At the same time, traffic is smooth on all 346 roads of Dehradun. On the orders of the DM, the obstructed routes have been opened by Friday evening. ADM KK Mishra said that the motor road from Sahasradhara to Naliwala was blocked till evening. He said that this too has been made operational.
