DM orders starting of shuttle bus services to ease traffic woes in Mussoorie
Dehradun District Magistrate Savin Bansal has taken a big decision in the meeting to provide relief to Mussoorie from traffic jams. The DM has given instructions to start shuttle bus service in Mussoorie. For this, Kincraig parking will be restarted. This shuttle service will be from the parking to the library and Picture Palace. In the first phase, two buses will be run in a radius of two km. Officials have been instructed to submit the tender in 10 days.
The police department will set up an office in Kincraig and establish a computer network. The police will have information about the parking of all the hotels. If the parking in the hotels is full, the vehicles will be stopped at Kincraig itself. Tourists will be sent from onwards through shuttle service. The District Magistrate said that whatever resources will be required for this arrangement, he will provide funds for it. He directed SDM Mussoorie, Superintendent of Police Traffic and Executive Officer Municipal Council Mussoorie to take immediate action. Superintendent of Police Traffic Mukesh Kumar, Joint Magistrate Mussoorie Anamika, Deputy District Magistrate Headquarters Shalini Negi and officials of Municipal Council Mussoorie were present in the meeting.

Shuttle buses cover shorter distances than other buses. Usually shuttle buses operate in both directions between two stoppages. Shuttle buses can be used on many occasions. Shuttle bus service will be used to transport tourists from parking to destination in Mussoorie.
