All schools in Dehradun from class 1 to 12 will be closed for 1 day on September 1 as per DM orders after India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday released a warning of heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand. According to Bikram Singh, director of State Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of heavy rains in the region between 1 to 3 September, especially in Dehradun, Pauri, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar.
