Temperature drop in Doon after snowfall in the mountains

The effects of two days of continuous rain and snowfall in the high altitude areas of Uttarakhand were felt in the plains on Tuesday. The maximum daytime temperature in the capital, Dehradun, dropped four degrees below normal to 26.5 degrees Celsius. The minimum night temperature also remained below normal.

The effects of the early morning rain across the city were felt until noon. Winds brought a chill. Regarding rainfall data, 2.1 mm of rain was recorded in Dehradun. Meanwhile, light rain is expected in the mountainous regions of the state today. However, the weather will remain dry in the plains.

Snowfall in the first week of October after 30 years

This time, due to untimely snowfall, villages in the border areas have been covered in snow. Crop damage is also feared. This is the first time in nearly 30 years that snowfall has occurred in the first week of October. Heavy snow fell in Gamshali, Farkiya, Dronagiri, Bampa, Malari, and other villages in the Niti Valley. Crops have not been harvested from the fields in the Niti Valley.
