Varun Dhawan to be part of Border 2 starcast

Varun Dhawan has announced his entry in ‘Border 2’, which is a sequel to the 1997 superhit film ‘Border’.

The actor himself has confirmed this news on Instagram. He shared a teaser of the film and wrote in the caption – ‘When I was in fourth grade, I saw Border at Chandan Cinema. This film had a deep impact on me. I still remember the sense of national pride we all felt in the hall. I began looking up to our armed forces and to this day, I salute how they protect us and keep us safe be it on our borders or during natural calamities.’

Varun further wrote, “‘”J P Dutta sir’s war epic remains one of my most favourite movies to this day.To play a part in Border 2 produced by J P sir and Bhushan Kumar is a very, very special moment in my career. And I get to work with Sunny Paaji my hero makes it all the more special.”

Sunny Deol had announced ‘Border 2’ in June this year. He had said, ‘A soldier is coming back to fulfill his 27-year-old promise. India’s biggest war film, Border 2.’

‘Border 2’ is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta. It will be directed by Anurag Singh, who previously directed Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Kesari’.
