Monkey drives off with bus in UP, rams it into 2 other vehicles
In a shocking incident, a monkey took control of a parked UPSRTC bus, ignited its engine and took off the vehicle in the second gear in Bareilly recently.
According to a ToI report, the incident took place on Monday when the bus driver was taking a short nap, the animal got inside, switched on the engine and set off, though not too far.
Since the bus was due to leave in half an hour, the conductor was also away to find more passengers, it was then that the animal got inside it.
The driver, however, managed to regain control of it but by then the vehicle had crashed into two other buses parked nearby. The bizarrely comic sequence of events began when the conductor of an Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus from Pilibhit left the vehicle at the old roadways station to look for passengers.
