Eight-day special traffic plan issued in Haridwar, effective from October 17 to 24.

In view of the festivals of Diwali, Govardhan Puja, and Bhaiya Dooj, the police have issued a special traffic plan for Haridwar city. For eight days, from October 17th to October 24th, special no-entry, one-way, and parking arrangements will be in place in the city. Police have appealed to the public to adhere to designated routes and parking rules during the festival. SSP Pramod Singh Dobal has instructed all station heads to strictly enforce this traffic plan.

No-entry and Parking Arrangements in the Jwalapur Area

No-entry (8 a.m. to 10 p.m.): In the Kotwali Jwalapur area, entry of heavy and loaded vehicles will be strictly prohibited from Jatwada Bridge to Durga Chowk, Rail Chowki, and Sector 2 to Bhagat Singh Chowk.

Parking: Separate parking spaces have been created for vehicles coming to Jwalapur from BHEL, Singhdwar-Aryanagar Chowk, Durga Chowk, and Ranipur bend. These include Jwalapur Inter College, the railway station parking lot, the vacant space between Bhagat Singh Chowk and Sector 2, the parking lot near Bhaichara Hotel, and the parking lot in front of Dr. Chandela Hospital.

Traffic Control: Special police deployments will be made at the Sector 2 barrier, Durga Chowk, the railway underpass, Shri Ram Chowk, Ghas Mandi Chowk, Ramlila Ground, and Maidanian.

One-Way Arrangement: In case of increased traffic congestion at Ranipur bend, vehicles coming from BHEL and Sector 2 will be operated one-way from Bhagat Singh Chowk via Tibdi Road to Old Ranipur bend.

Restrictions: Entry of all types of vehicles will be completely prohibited from Shri Ram Chowk to Kathara Bazaar.

Traffic Arrangements in the Kankhal Area

No-Entry (8 AM to 10 PM): Entry of all loading vehicles will be completely prohibited from Singhdwar to Jagjitpur Chowki in the Kankhal police station area.

Parking: Vacant spaces along the canal track road from Krishnanagar culvert to Premnagar Chowk will be used for vehicle parking.

Barriers: Barriers will be installed at Singhdwar, Deshrakshak Tiraha, and Chowki Jagjitpur.
Diversion: In case of increased traffic congestion, vehicles will be diverted via Shankar Ashram, Jahanvi Dell, and Ramdev Pull.

Traffic Arrangements in the Ranipur Area

No-Entry (8 AM to 10 PM): Heavy and light-duty vehicles will be prohibited from Chinmaya Chowk to Shivaliknagar Chowk, BSP Tiraha, and Salempur Chowk in the Kotwali Ranipur area.

Parking: Parking spaces have been created near Chinmaya Degree College and the CISF gate for vehicles coming to Shivaliknagar from Roshanabad and BHEL.

Checking: Police checking will be in place at Shivaliknagar Chowk and BSP Tiraha.

Police Appeal

Police have appealed to the public to park their vehicles only at designated parking spaces in the market and to use two-wheelers in crowded areas. Vehicles parked in no-parking zones will be towed. No-entry and one-way rules will be strictly enforced. Merchants have also been requested to encourage customers to park in designated parking spaces instead of in front of their shops.
