During a severe storm along the railway route between Haridwar and Dehradun, a massive tree crashed onto the tracks, bringing rail traffic to a complete standstill. Consequently, the operations of several trains—including the Vande Bharat Express—were disrupted.
Upon receiving news of the incident, local police, the GRP, the RPF, and railway officials and staff immediately rushed to the scene. Joint relief and rescue operations are currently underway. Railway personnel attempted to clear the tracks by cutting up and removing the fallen tree.
The railway administration is continuously monitoring the situation and making every effort to secure the tracks and restore train operations as soon as possible.
