Massive fire breaks out in chemical factory in Haridwar

A massive fire suddenly broke out in a chemical factory on Ibrahimpur road in Bahadarabad area of Haridwar district on Sunday (April 6) night. The fire was so horrific that smoke could be seen rising in the sky from several kilometers away.
As per reports, the massive fire that broke out at Ganpati Chemical Factory in village Ibrahimpur, Haridwar at around 9 pm created a stir. The flames of the factory burning fiercely were so intense that they were visible from several kilometers away. Eyewitnesses and local villagers said that the fire was reported immediately.
Meanwhile, the villagers tried to control the fire with buckets and tankers on their own. But due to the chemicals present in the factory, the fire spread even faster. Seeing the magnitude of the fire, several fire engines were sent to the spot. Firefighters and police team started the rescue operation, which continued till late night.
On receiving the information, Haridwar SP City Pankaj Gairola himself reached the spot. He said that on receiving the information about the fire, the fire team was immediately dispatched. It was found on the spot that one person was badly burnt. He has been sent to the hospital through an ambulance. However, there is still a possibility of some people being trapped inside the factory.
