Opportunity for Women to Open a Food Court: New Initiative at Samridhi Growth Center
On June 20, in the office of Chief Development Officer located in Haridwar District Headquarters Vikas Bhawan, under the chairmanship of Chief Development Officer IAS Akanksha Konde, the progress of Samridhi Growth Center and Saras Marketing Center, Jamalpur Kala, operated under Bahadarabad was thoroughly reviewed. The main objective of the meeting was to physically evaluate the progress of these centers and discuss future strategies. An important decision was considered in the meeting that if possible according to the guidelines, a food court run by women will be opened in the Growth Center.
This initiative will be a big step towards women empowerment. For this work, all the women of CLF (Community Level Federation) will be invited at the individual level, so that they can take advantage of this opportunity and become self-reliant. Apart from this, the Chief Development Officer directed the DPM (District Project Manager) to pay special attention to the market strategy. They were asked to provide this information to the district headquarters about how many customers are coming to the market every evening, so that marketing plans can be made more effective.
Chief Development Officer Akanksha Konde was accompanied by Project Director DRDA K.N. Tiwari, District Project Manager Sanjay Saxena, Assistant Manager Gramothan (REAP) Project, DTE from NRLM and Block Development Officer of Bahadarabad development block Manas Mittal along with many other officers and employees in the review meeting. This meeting is a positive step for the development of these centers and increasing the participation of women.
