Bureaucratic reshuffle in UP; 21 IAS officers transferred

The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has made a major administrative reshuffle on Tuesday evening. 21 IAS officers of the government have been transferred. Changes have been made in the posting of District Magistrates of Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Ballia, Aligarh, Basti, Jalaun, Etawah and Firozabad.

IAS officers have been transferred on a large scale in Uttar Pradesh. Lucknow DM Abhishek Prakash has been sent to Industries Department. At the same time, Surya Pal Gangwar has been made the new District Magistrate of Lucknow. Apart from this, Inder Vikram Singh has become the DM of Aligarh.

Similarly, the District Magistrate, Gorakhpur, has been made in-charge, Director General, School Education and Special Secretary, Department of Basic Education. Krishna Karunesh, vice-chairman of Ghaziabad Development Authority, has been made the District Magistrate of Gorakhpur. Ghaziabad District Magistrate Rakesh Kumar Singh has also got the additional charge of GDA VC.

Kanpur District Magistrate Neha Sharma has been transferred from her post and made the director of the local body. In her place, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister Visakh G. has been made the new District Magistrate of Kanpur.
