Maharashtra announces stricter rules to curb Corona

Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has announced tougher restrictions to deal with the Corona crisis. There will not be a complete lockdown in the state like last year, but all the non-essential services will be closed and there will be stepping out without a valid reason will not be allowed. CM Uddhav Thackeray has announced to implement section 144 in the state from 8 pm on 14 April. He said that people may not like the harsh conditions, but still it has to be done. He called it a ‘break the chain campaign’, not using the term lockdown. CM Uddhav Thackeray made it clear that all offices except the essential services will remain closed. People working in companies like ecommerce, banks, media, petrol pumps, security guards have been exempted from this. Restaurants etc. will remain open, but there will be a ban on sitting there. Only home delivery and take-away facility will be available.

Announcement of help to the poor from ration to cash

They are going to provide financial assistance of Rs 1,500 per month to laborers engaged in construction work. Authorized ferries will also be provided for help. Rickshaw pullers will also get Rs 1,500 and tribals will get Rs 2,00 per month. 7 crore people will be given 3 kg of wheat and 2 kg of rice for the next three months. This facility will be provided to ration card holders from government shops. CM said that during this partial lockdown, it will be the endeavor of the government that no one goes through crises. He said that ‘we have no choice now, so we are doing so. We have taken this decision to increase health facilities and vaccination. I request everyone to fold hands and follow it.’

Apart from this, he also appealed to the retired doctors to come forward in the corona crisis.
