Corbett and Rajaji closed for tourists as state grapples with rising corona cases

The National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) has issued orders to close all the tiger reserves in the country with immediate effect, including Jim Corbett and Rajaji Tiger Reserve. On the instructions of NTCA, Jim Corbett Reserve and Rajaji Tiger Reserve have been closed for tourists at present.

Rajaji Tiger Reserve Director DK Singh said that the National Tiger Conservation Authority has issued orders to close the Tiger Reserve with immediate effect due to the Corona pandemic. The Tiger Reserve is currently closed to tourists on the orders of the NTCA.

The officials and employees of the Tiger Reserve have been instructed to take all precautionary measures to protect themselves from corona infection. Also, do not take any kind of protection in the protection of wildlife.

On the other hand, the director of the Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve, said that the Tiger Reserve is currently being closed to tourists on the orders of the NTCA. Any decision regarding when the tiger reserve will be opened for tourists will be taken by the NTCA after conditions become normal.
