Fire destroys over 100 year old building in Nainital

A massive fire broke out on Wednesday night in the historic ‘Old London House’ located in Mallital, Nainital. Flames engulfed the entire building which was constructed in 1863. After the fire was extinguished, a dead body was found in the building. Many people, without caring for their lives, went into the blazing building and tried their best to save the people trapped there.

Cause of the fire has not been ascertained

According to the information at around quarter to ten o’clock at night, restaurant operators and passersby saw flames rising from their building after which they alerted the police and fire department. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet.
