Selection process for the Uttarakhand team for the 9th National Elite Senior Boxing Championship begins in Ramnagar

The selection process for the Uttarakhand team for the 9th National Elite Senior Boxing Championship, to be held in Greater Noida, began on December 14th in Ramnagar. The trials and selection process are being held at the boxing court of Ramnagar College, starting in the morning. Senior boxers from across the state, both men and women, are participating. Players who have competed at national and international levels, and have won several medals, including gold, are also showcasing their skills in the trials.
This national competition will be held in Greater Noida from January 4th to January 10th, and the Uttarakhand team will also participate. The selection of the state’s best team for this competition is currently underway in Ramnagar. These trials are being held for the 9th National Elite Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s Boxing Championship. Under the selection process, 10 female boxers from 10 different weight categories and 10 male boxers from 10 different weight categories will be selected.
In women’s boxing, the weight categories for the trials include 45-48 kg, 48-51 kg, 51-54 kg, 54-57 kg, 57-60 kg, 60-65 kg, 65-70 kg, 70-75 kg, 75-80 kg, and over 80 kg.
For men’s boxing, the weight categories for the competitions are 47-50 kg, 50-55 kg, 55-60 kg, 60-65 kg, 65-70 kg, 70-75 kg, 75-80 kg, 80-85 kg, 85-90 kg, and over 90 kg.
