All schools in Pauri district to remain closed on August 5 after heavy rain alert issued
The phase of rain continues from the mountains to the plains in Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Center has also issued an orange alert for heavy rain in many districts of the state tomorrow, Tuesday 5th August.
In view of the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Pauri district, the Meteorological Center has declared a holiday in all the schools from class 1 to 12 and Anganwadi centers of the district on 05 August, 2025.

As per the DM order, ‘In view of the heavy rain warning issued by the Uttarakhand Meteorological Department, the Pauri District Administration, giving priority to the safety of the students, has declared a one-day holiday in all the government, semi-government and private schools (all educational institutions running from class 1 to 12) and all Anganwadi centers of the district on 05 August 2025 (Tuesday).’
