1 dead as boulder falls on house in Pithoragarh

In Devat of Naini Saini area of Pithoragarh, boulders fell from the hill late on Monday night and broke the wall of a residential house and entered inside. As per reports, a twelve-year-old boy sleeping inside the house died a painful death due to being crushed by a boulder. Four other people were injured, who were rescued by the administration and shifted to a safe place after primary treatment. The village is about six km from the district headquarters. Around 1 o’clock on Monday night, a part of the rock broke from a high hill in Devat and rolling down as a boulder, directly hit the wall of a residential house and entered inside.
