Problems coming from the communication and internet service of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited over the past several days once again hampered communications on Sunday. The OFC line connecting Pithoragarh from Lohaghat had broken. The reason for which BSNL’s communications service hours were interrupted in the Pithoragarh. Apart from the Internet service, the people of Pithoragarh also did not have mobile and land line service. BSNL’s OFC line got a technical breakdown between Lohaghat and Pithaurgarh on Sunday morning. From where the BSNL communications service went haywire from the morning. More than twenty thousand mobile and landline phone users in the district had a lot of trouble. For seven hours, BSNL’s communication service was completely stalled. People in the entire district including Jhulaghat, Berinag, Dharchula, Munsariyari, Ascot, Didihat and there were left without proper communication channel. The communication service in Dharchula has been stalled for several days. People are going to Nepal for simple hi hello talks. Many consumers of Jhulaghat, Batthi area have started using regular services of Nepali communication providers due inefficient BSNL communication service.
