Madhyamaheshwar Temple doors closed for winter

The doors of the Lord Madhyamaheshwar Temple, the second of the Panch Kedars, were closed for the winter season 2025 with due rituals on Tuesday. On November 21st, the Baba’s movable idol palanquin will be placed at the winter seat, Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath.
The chief priest of the shrine, stated that the process of closing the doors began at 5 a.m. on Tuesday in the presence of villagers and acharyas.

The palanquin will then arrive at Gondar village for the night stay. It will spend the night at Rakeshwari Temple, Ransi, on November 19th, Giriya on November 20th, and at the winter seat, Omkareshwar Temple, on November 21st.
