The Axiom-4 mission to be launched for the International Space Station has been postponed due to bad weather. Now it will be launched on June 11 at 5:30 pm Indian time.
The Indian Space Research Organization has given this information in a post on X. ISRO Chief V Narayanan said that the launch of SpaceX’s Falcon-9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center in Florida has been postponed.
This is the third time its launch has been postponed. Earlier the mission was to be launched on May 29. Later it was scheduled for June 8. After that it was scheduled for June 10 at 5:30 pm.
In Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4), four astronauts from four countries are going to the space station for 14 days. Shubhanshu will be the first to go to the ISS and the second Indian to go to space. Earlier, Rakesh Sharma had traveled to space in 1984 in a Soviet Union spacecraft.
Before going to the ISS, Shubhanshu Shukla did a full dress rehearsal on Sunday. In this, the process of going from the assembly building to the rocket and sitting in it was followed. Shubhanshu said – ‘You are going to be a part of something that is very big. I am fortunate to be a part of it.’
Mission objective
The main objective of Ax-4 is to conduct scientific research, technology demonstration in space. This mission is part of Axiom Space’s plan to encourage private space travel and establish a commercial space station (Axiom Station) in the future.
