BGT 2024-25: India lead by 145 runs at the end of Day 2 in 5th Test

India is 145 runs ahead of Australia in the 5th Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. On Saturday, the team scored 141 runs for the loss of 6 wickets by the end of the second day’s play. Ravindra Jadeja returned unbeaten on 8 and Washington Sundar on 6 runs.

Rishabh Pant scored 61 runs in 33 balls from the Indian team in Sydney. Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed 22 runs. KL Rahul and Shubman Gill scored13 runs each. Virat Kohli scored 6 runs. Scott Boland took 4 wickets.

Before the tea break, Australia was all out for 181 runs in the first innings. Team India got a lead of 4 runs in the first innings. India had scored 185 runs in the first innings. Beau Webster, playing his debut match for Australia, scored the highest 57 runs. Steve Smith scored 33 and Sam Constas scored 23 runs. Prasidh Krishna and Mohammad Siraj took 3 wickets a piece. Jasprit Bumrah and Nitish Reddy got 2-2 wickets.
