IPL 2026 Schedule: SRH to take on RCB in Bengaluru in the first match
The BCCI has announced the IPL 2026 schedule. This year, the IPL is set to begin on March 28th. The first match of the season will be played between defending champions RCB and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. However, it will be clear on March 13th whether the matches will be held in Bengaluru or not. However, due to elections in several states, the full schedule has not been released.
The first phase of IPL 2026 will run from March 28th to April 12th. Twenty matches will be played. Mumbai Indians will face KKR in the second match on March 29th at the Wankhede Stadium. Chennai Super Kings will begin their campaign against Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati on March 30th. Runner-up Punjab Kings will play their first match against Gujarat Titans in New Chandigarh on April 1st. The first phase of the league will run until April 12th.
