9 new stadiums to be built in Uttarakhand

Youth interested in sports will no longer have to turn to other states to hone their talent. The state government has approved the construction of nine new stadiums in the state. Out of this, Udham Singh Nagar will get four stadiums. The state government has approved the construction of stadiums in Jaspur, Nagla, Khatima and Kichha of the district.

The state government has approved the construction of stadiums in places with a population of more than 50 thousand in the state in the financial year 2024-25. For this, a total of nine places in the state have been identified, out of which four are from Udham Singh Nagar. Roorkee, Rishikesh, Ramnagar, Mangalore and Doiwala are included in the list of the state government. At the same time, Jaspur, Nagla, Khatima and Kichha have been included from US Nagar district. With the construction of the stadium here, rural talents will be honed. On June 21, Director Youth Welfare and Provincial Guard Force Jitendra Kumar Sonkar has issued a letter for Haridwar, Dehradun, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar.

These will be the facilities

Indoor stadium: 18.5 meters in length, 17.5 meters in width and 7.5 meters in height. Two trainers and store rooms, five toilets and bathrooms for boys and girls separately, electricity, water arrangements, boundary wall and gate.

Open stadium: 120 meters in length and 80 meters in width. Trainers and store rooms with toilets and bathrooms, five toilets and bathrooms for boys and girls separately, electricity, water arrangements, boundary wall and gate.

Mini stadiums are operating in the rural areas of Udham Singh Nagar, Sakaniya, Bichpuri, Dineshpur and Koolha. At the same time, a stadium for Mallakhamb is proposed by the government in Khatima. Here, the state government has given the big gift of indoor and open stadiums at four places in the district.

A letter has been issued by the Director Youth Welfare and Provincial Guard Force. In this, Jaspur, Nagla, Khatima and Kichha have been selected for the stadium.
