Uttarakhand weather update: Hailstorm & rain alert for today
The weather change over the last two days may have brought relief from the heat, but the relief rain has become a disaster in the hill districts. On the other hand, the Meteorological Center has issued a warning of hailstorm along with gusty winds and heavy rain in the hill districts today (April 12) as well. Whereas, there is a possibility of light rain in many parts of the state.
According to the forecast issued by the Center, a yellow alert has been issued for hailstorm along with several rounds of heavy rain in some areas of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Almora districts.
Whereas, there is a possibility of gusty winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour along with strong thunder at some places in Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts. Talking about the coming days, the weather will be clear across the state from April 13.
