Student shoots teacher with pistol in Kashipur school
Gurunanak School on Kundeshwari Road, Kashipur suddenly reverberated with the sound of a gunshot on Wednesday afternoon. In this shocking incident that took place in the middle of the usual classes, a ninth standard student fired a gun at his own teacher. The bullet hit the right shoulder of teacher, who was admitted to a private hospital in a critical condition. Doctors have said that his condition is currently out of danger.
As per reports, Gagan Singh, a teacher for 15 years, was teaching ninth standard in the school. As soon as he started going out after the class was over, a student from suddenly took out a 315 bore gun from his bag and pointed it at the teacher. The teacher tried to defend himself, but by then the student fired the bullet. The bullet hit his right shoulder.
On hearing the bullet sound, other teachers and students rushed to the spot and hurriedly took the injured to the hospital in a private vehicle. According to the accused student, on Monday, teacher Gagan Singh slapped the student despite him answering a question during the study. Hurt by this, he decided to teach the teacher a lesson. On Wednesday morning, he brought a pistol from the cupboard of his house and reached the class hiding it in the cover of the tiffin. As soon as the class was over, he got the chance and fired.
As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot and took the CCTV footage into their possession. The footage confirmed that the student fired the shot. Also, the forensic team also collected evidence from the spot. The teacher and other staff caught the accused student on the spot and handed him over to the police.
