The way he supported Trump in the US presidential election and took responsibility in the government became a topic of discussion in both politics and US administration. Now suddenly he has decided to step down from his role as a top adviser to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). White House officials have also confirmed Elon Musk’s separation from the government.

Elon Musk announced his exit from the US government on Wednesday. He decided to step down from his role as a top adviser to President Donald Trump after leading efforts with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to reduce and streamline the federal bureaucracy.

The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX wrote on X, ‘As my scheduled time as a special government employee comes to an end, I want to thank President Donald Trump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending. The Doge mission will grow stronger over time as it becomes a way of life in government.’

Musk was the biggest donor to Trump’s election campaign in the 2024 US presidential elections. He stood by him in his election campaigns. He stood firmly with Trump as he took his second term as US President. However, earlier Musk had expressed displeasure with the Trump administration over government expenditure.
