Chardham peaks receive snowfall after Diwali

After Diwali in Uttarakhand, the weather has changed. The high peaks of the mountains region of the state received fresh snowfall with continuous rain since Sunday night. Kedarnath, Gangotri, Badrinath and Yamunotri are experiencing heavy snowfall. After snowfall in Kedarnath Dham, snow is seen around the temple premises. After snowfall in the mountainous areas, the cold intensity has increased in the plains.

Due to this, along with UP CM Yogi Adityanath who arrived in Kedarnath Dham on Sunday, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat was also stranded. Although the doors of Kedarnath Dham were closed at half past eight in the morning at the appointed time. About a foot in Kedarnath Dham, half a feet of snow had fallen in Gangotri. Yogi Adityanath and Trivendra Singh Rawat had a program at Badrinath Dham, but both were stranded due to snowfall.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain. In addition, there may be light snowfall on the high peaks. According to the Meteorological Center, the Western Disturbance has become active again. This is likely to have a direct impact on the plains on 16 November. Due to which snowfall in the higher reaches of Uttarakhand can also increase the cold.

There was snowfall in Badrinath Dham as well on Saturday.
