He said that people should be assured that there is no shortage of any essential items. The common people should be motivated to stay at home and follow social distancing.

Will not let anyone go hungry says CM
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has clarified that lockdown does not mean complete shutdown. He said that the government will supply food grains, medicines and other things to everyone and will not let anyone go hungry. Understanding the seriousness of the situation, the public will have to keep emphasis on social distancing. He pleaded with the people that they should understand the gravity of the situation and stay in homes.
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said this while communicating with the people of the state through Facebook Live. He said that the crowd as was seen on Wednesday is not appropriate. If it stays like this then only divine intervention could help us. People have to understand the seriousness of the situation. It has to be understood that if they come in contact with a Coronavirus infected person, then they too will fall prey to the virus. It spreads very fast.
