Ganesh Godiyal named Uttarakhand Congress President
The Congress party has approved a major change in the state organization in Uttarakhand. Former MLA Ganesh Godiyal has been appointed the state Congress president. The district presidents of the Congress party were also announced.
In view of the upcoming 2027 assembly elections, the Congress president has appointed Pritam Singh as the chairman of the campaign committee and Harak Singh Rawat as the chairman of the election management committee. In addition, outgoing state Congress president Karan Mahra has been appointed a special invitee to the Congress Working Committee. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal issued this information in a press note on Tuesday night. It should be noted that the newly appointed Uttarakhand Congress president Ganesh Godiyal has previously served as the state Congress president.
