Uttarakhand Corona news: 235 cases reported on August 16
In Uttarakhand, the total number of people found corona positive till date has gone past 12000. 235 new cases were reported on Sunday. 352 people were cured today. Maximum 55 cases were reported from Haridwar and 49 from Dehradun district. 12157 positive cases have been reported in the state so far, out of which 8100 have recovered. At present 3879 active cases are active in the state while 152 corona infected patients have died. Corona infection has been confirmed in former Tourism Minister Dinesh Dhanai on Sunday. A few days ago a supporter of the former minister underwent a corona test, after which he was found positive. After that, the Corona sample of the former minister who was on the contact list was also sent for investigation. The former minister was isolated in his new Tehri residence since 10 August. He also has a sugar problem and also takes insulin injections.
An 80-year-old elderly corona-infected Lalkuan resident has died. He was admitted to STH Haldwani. Medical Superintendent Dr. Arun Joshi said that he was admitted on 12 August. He had many diseases including pneumonia, diabetes.
The maximum number of cases of corona in the state are 2935 from Haridwar. Of these, 1655 patients have been cured, while 1258 are undergoing treatment in various hospitals. At the same time, 12 have died. The total number of infected in Dehradun is 2379.
As per the health bulletin issued on August 16, results of 14274 samples is awaited.
