Uttarakhand corona update: 243 cases found on 19 February
On Saturday, 243 new corona patients were found in Uttarakhand and one infected died. 783 patients were cured after treatment, due to which now the number of active patients in the state has come down to 1528. Along with the reduction in corona cases, the administration and health department are also breathing a sigh of relief. However, an alert has been issued that the Covid guidelines should be strictly followed.
According to the bulletin of the Health Department, on Saturday 6 cases were reported in Almora, 1 in Bageshwar, 18 in Chamoli, 4 in Champawat, 83 in Dehradun, 54 in Haridwar, 14 in Nainital, 13 in Pauri, 9 in Pithoragarh, 7 in Rudraprayag, 17 in Tehri, 7 in US Nagar and 10 in Uttarkashi. A patient admitted to Doon Medical College died on Saturday. With this, the death toll in the third wave of corona in the state has gone up to 253.
On Saturday, reports of 13591 patients came from various labs of the state, while samples of more than 12 thousand have been sent for examination. The rate of corona infection in the state is 1.76 percent while the recovery rate of patients has reached near 95 percent. In the third wave of corona, the total number of patients has reached close to 90 thousand. On Saturday, more than 15 thousand people in the state were given doses of anti-corona vaccine.
