Uttarakhand weather update: Orange alert for heavy rain in 6 districts including Dehradun

An orange alert for heavy rain has been issued in six districts of Uttarakhand on Tuesday. On Monday also, there was heavy rain in various areas of the state. Due to this, the Kedarnath Highway was damaged once again in Sonprayag.
Meteorological Department Director Dr. Bikram Singh said on Monday that there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Dehradun, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Champawat, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar on August 20.
There may be heavy spells of rain in other districts of the state as well. On the other hand, the administration is making people aware not to go near river areas. After the warning of the Meteorological Department, the police-administration is also on alert mode.
