Uttarakhand weather update: Rain forecast for these districts from May 28

Heavy rais have been forecast before the arrival of monsoon in Uttarakhand. As per the prediction, the rain will continue in the hilly districts of Uttarakhand. An alert has also been issued by the IMD on rain, thunderstorm and hailstorm. A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in the hilly districts of Uttarakhand from May 28. Whereas, there is a possibility of light rain in the plain districts like Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar etc.

Apart from this, there is a possibility of wind blowing at a speed of 40 km per hour in Uttarakhand. Director of Meteorological Center Dr. Bikram Singh said that there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Nainital, Champawat, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar districts. There is a possibility of lightning and wind blowing with thunder at some places in other hilly districts.

Light rain and strong winds can also blow in the plain districts. Pre-monsoon rains may continue in the state till June 2. After the warning of the Meteorological Department, the police-administration has also come on alert mode. Along with deploying additional forces in sensitive areas on the Chardham Yatra route, vigilance is being maintained.

Temperature below normal after rain

Due to rain and winds in Uttarakhand, the temperature is below normal. Temperatures one to two degrees below normal are being recorded in the state. On Tuesday, the temperature in Doon was 35.3, in Pantnagar 35.5, in Mukteshwar 22.1, in New Tehri 25 degrees Celsius.
