Uttarakhand weather update: Rain forecast for these districts on 22 May
The weather has once again taken a turn in the state. The weather changed on Wednesday morning itself and it rained in many areas in Kumaon. Due to which people have got relief from heat due to decrease in temperature. There are chances of rain in six districts of the state on Wednesday and Thursday.
Rain forecast in six districts today
The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain in the state today (May 22). According to Dr. Bikram Singh, Director of Meteorological Department, today and tomorrow there are chances of light to moderate rain at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Almora districts. Along with this, there is a possibility of lightning at some places. Whereas the weather will remain dry in other districts. Along with this, there is a possibility of gusty winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers in the hilly districts of the state.
Mercury drops due to rain in Kumaon
The mercury has dropped due to rain in many areas of Kumaon on Wednesday morning itself. People have got relief from the heat due to decrease in temperature. Ranikhet, Haldwani, Nainital, Champawat, Lohaghat, Devidhura and Pati are cloudy since morning. It has also rained in some areas. People have got some respite from the heat due to rain in Haldwani in the morning. Along with this, it has rained at many places in Pithoragarh and Bageshwar districts, due to which the cold has increased.
Rain expected in Chardham for the next few days
There are chances of light rain in Chardham also today and tomorrow. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light rain in Chardham for the next three days. According to Dr. Bikram Singh, Director of Meteorological Department, there may be light rain in Gangotri, Yamnotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath on Wednesday afternoon.
