Weather is expected to change in Uttarakhand for the next few days. There is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall tomorrow i.e. from 24 to 29 January. Heavy rain is expected in many plains and snowfall for about 5 days in the higher reaches. Alert has been issued regarding bad weather in all the districts, the Meteorological Department says that there will be snowfall and rain in almost all the mountainous areas of Uttarakhand and rain in the plains will also change the weather and a drop in temperature will be recorded. The Meteorological Department has issued an advisory in this regard to all the District Magistrates of the state asking them to remain alert. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of closure of roads in areas of 2200 meters or above due to snowfall and accumulation of water in many places.

There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain and snowfall on this day. This situation may prevail in many areas of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Dehradun, Tehri, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar districts. According to the officials of the Meteorological Department, there is a need to be careful in terms of weather from 25 to 29 January. During this, there is a possibility of hailstorm, strong showers along with rain in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar. An advisory has been issued to all the District Magistrates in this regard. Many people are falling prey to cold in this changing season.
