Diamond within a diamond mined in Russia

There are diamond mines in many countries of the world, where every kind of diamonds, big and small, have been extracted for years, but such a diamond was never found in history. Actually, this has happened for the first time in the world, when a diamond is found inside a diamond.

This diamond has been found in the Nyurba mine of Russia, which is being told that it may be more than 80 million years old. According to Alrosa , a mining company in Siberia in Russia, the weight of this diamond is 0.62 carat while the diamond inside it weighs 0.02 carat.

Because of the diamond inside the diamond, it is being described as ‘Matrioshka‘, the traditional doll of Russia. The value of this diamond has been estimated at around Rs 426 crore. Oleg Kovalchuk, deputy director of the ‘Research and Development Geological Enterprise’ of mining company Alrosa, says it is indeed a unique creation of nature, when a diamond is found inside the diamond.
