Twitter changes logo from blue bird to Dogecoin’s shiba inu

Elon Musk made a big change on the micro-blogging site Twitter on Tuesday. They changed the Twitter logo. Twitter has replaced the blue bird with shiba inu of Dogecoin. Musk told a user in a tweet that he fulfilled what he had promised. Although this change is currently visible only on the web and not on the mobile app.

American billionaire Musk bought Twitter in October last year. After this, Musk remained in discussion regarding many big decisions. These included charge for Blue Tick, retrenchment of employees, removal of CEO Parag Agarwal.

 

What is Twitter’s new logo DOGE?

Software engineers Billy Marcus and Jackson Palmer started DodgeCoin in 2013 to mock other cryptocurrencies like bitcoin. Musk has described it as his favorite cryptocurrency on several occasions. Musk made several tweets in February 2022 in support of Dodgecoin. At that time he had only written ‘DOGE’ in the first tweet.

In the second tweet, Musk wrote – Dodgecoin is the crypto of the people. After this the price of this cryptocurrency had jumped to 5 cents. It was trading at three cents before Musk’s tweets.

In December 2020 also he tweeted One Word: Doge and its price increased by 20%. Now in the new logo of Twitter, Musk has used the photo of the shiba inu of this cryptocurrency.

Users surprised by the decision, DOGE started trending

As soon as Twitter’s logo changed, users were surprised and started questioning each other about this change. A user asked if everyone is seeing the dog on the logo. Within no time #DOGE started tweeting on Twitter. Users thought that someone had hacked Twitter. Shortly after, Elon Musk made a tweet, which made it clear that Twitter has changed its logo.
