Scientists baffled by lines of holes 1.7 miles below Atlantic Ocean surface

US scientists have found many unknown and mysterious line of holes in the ocean floor 2.7 km below the surface in the Atlantic Ocean. Scientists are surprised to see these holes and they have sought help from the world to identify them on Facebook. The surprising thing is that all these mysterious holes are in a straight line. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) of America has shared their photos on their Facebook page.

NOAA wrote that ‘now is the time for Facebook users to identify them. The scientific organization said that we have found many such holes in the sediment while diving in the sea on Saturday. These holes have been found in this area before, but their source still remains a mystery to the world. These holes look man made. Looking at the silt around these holes, it looks like they were dug by something.’

These holes were found in the Mid-Atlantic Ridge

NOAA’s diving crew examined and mapped these holes three times. He used a remote-operated vehicle for this. Through these missions, scientists wanted to understand the mid-Atlantic, the Azores Plateau and other deep-sea areas. After sharing these pictures, scientists asked people what do you think about these holes. These holes have been found in the mid-Atlantic Ridge region.

Many Facebook users have different opinions on this question of NOAA. One user wrote, ‘I would be surprised if a company is taking sea surface samples. This may possibly reveal the mystery behind the hole in the straight line. .’ Another user wrote that maybe fresh water is coming out of a ground source, it may happen.

The world’s longest mountain range in the Atlantic

At the same time, a third user wrote that it could be some kind of crab. Many users even speculated it the handiwork of aliens. The Mid-Atlantic Range extends from north to south into the Atlantic Ocean. This entire area is spread over 10 thousand nautical miles. It is the longest mountainous region in the world. Not only this, many of the most fascinating secrets of the earth are hidden in this hill. Since most part of this mountain is under water, it has not been fully investigated yet. Earthquakes also often occur here.
