Delhi Cantt Army Major’s wife murder: Major Handa arrested from Meerut in connection with case
Another Army officer, Maj Handa, has been arrested from Meerut for the sensational murder of wife of a Major in Delhi’s Cantonment area. On the basis of the CCTV footage from the spot, the police had suspected Major Handa, after which his sliver colored Honda City was under their watch. As soon as the cops got tip off about Major Handa near Meerut Daurala, police team was dispatched to Meerut and Major Handa was arrested.
Previously, the police had said that the details of the CCTV footage and the details of the mobile received from the deceased had important clues about murder. On the basis of these clues, the police had doubted Major Handa, close to the family of the deceased to be the culprit.
The police said that after the murder, Major Handa had been driving around in his car in Delhi NCR for hours. Meanwhile, Major Handa had also switched off his mobile. Police said that in the CCTV footage, Shailja appeared with Major Handa in the car.
Clues found from Major’s Wife Celphone
Meanwhile, the police examined the mobile ound near the body of Major Amit Dwivedi’s wife Shailja and they got important leads.
Earlier, DCP Vijay Kumar had said that the police are very close to the murderer. The police believed that the reason for murder was not looting and sexual assault. They said that the murderer is very close to the family. Two more people were in touch with Shailja. Their phones are switched off. Both of them are not affiliated with the Indian Army.
Love affair suspected
Police have also not ruled out that there was an argument between the murderer and Shaillja before the murder. About 6 teams are investigating the case.
The police said that the army officer who is suspected to be murdered is close to Major Amit Dwivedi’s family. Police also informed that the accused army officers had come to Delhi suddenly. On the day of the murder i.e. Saturday also, the accused army officer was seen with Shailja at the Base Hospital in Delhi Cantt. There is also talk of love affair behind the murder.
