Traffic plan released ahead of tourist season in Nainital

In view of the problem of traffic jam in Nainital, emphasis will also be given on giving entry to the tourist vehicles with hotel booking within the city. After the parking capacity is 80 percent full, shuttle service will be started in the city for the tourists. This year the police is also going to restrict the entry of bicyclists into the hill station. On Wednesday, DIG Nilesh Anand Bharane held a seminar with tourism businessmen in Police Lines. During this he also shared the traffic plan.

It was told in the meeting that tourists would be brought inside the town through shuttle service from entry points Russian Bypass, Narayan Nagar and Pines. Tourists who will not have booking, their entry will be given in after ensuring booking at the entry point. Policemen will be stationed at every point of the city with walkie-talkies. On behalf of the police department, a demand has also been made from the district administration for Home Guard and PRD jawans. Tourism police booths will be made to listen to the problems of tourists. Helpline numbers, hotel booking numbers, numbers of officials associated with the taxi association will be displayed through banner-posters at the entry point. Complaint and suggestion registers will also be kept at some places. In which tourists can lodge complaints and suggestions. The policemen who will be appreciated by the tourists will be rewarded by the department.
