Ballabgarh murder case: Prime accused accepts crime

The college student Nikita murder case in Faridabad is being reported as allegedly related to a one-sided love affair. The boy Tausif, accused of murder, belonged to a different religion. The family members of the student alleged that they had also lodged a police complaint a few days ago regarding harassment of their daughter, but the police did not take any action on the complaint in time. As a result, the accused killed their daughter.

Haryana’s Nikita, who was a victim of one sided love revenge in Ballabhgarh, adjacent to Faridabad, has been cremated. In the midst of a ruckus in the Mewat region about forced conversions, the family gave a final farewell to their daughter with heavy heart.  Angry relatives and protesters blocked the Delhi-Mathura National Highway. At the same time, the deceased girl’s brother Naveen Tomar told that the administration has accepted all the demands of her family.

Tausif and Rehan, both accused in the Nikita murder case of Ballabhgarh, have been sent to police remand for two days. The court had approved the police remand sought for further investigation in the case.

Murder accused confessed: Sources

The police have investigated the call details of Tausif and Nikita, according to which Tausif had called Nikita a day before the murder. The accused Tausif has confessed his crime in front of the police. He said that ‘I killed her because she was going to marry someone else’. Tausif also confessed that there was a long conversation between the two on the middle of the 24th and 25th night. The call between them lasted for more than 1000 seconds.

Investigation revealed that Nikita and Tauseef had a conversation before Nikita’s murder. According to sources, Tausif was constantly pressurizing Nikita to run away from home and marry him while Nikita was denying this. The police believe that it is possible that even a day before the murder, Tausif called up Nikita and told her to marry him and run away from the house, which Nikita was refusing.

According to Police Commissioner OP Singh, after the matter came to notice, 10 teams of Crime Branch were given directions to arrest the accused as soon as possible. While working on it, the accused were arrested during a 5-hour operation conducted by the Crime Branch team from Faridabad to Palwal and Mewat.
