G20 summit: Gates of all Delhi Metro stations except one station to remain open, police withdraws decision

An order to keep Delhi Metro stations closed was issued during the G-20 summit, but it has now been withdrawn by Delhi Police. That means, only the gates of Supreme Court Metro Station will remain closed and the doors of other metro stations will remain open for passengers.

Delhi Police on Saturday wrote a letter to DMRC requesting it to keep the doors of 39 metro stations closed. So that the safety of foreign guests coming to the G-20 conference can be ensured. The stations which were demanded to be closed. Those were the stations through which the VVIP convoy would pass.

 

Delhi Police on Saturday wrote a letter to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC), requesting it to keep the doors of 39 metro stations closed. So that the safety of foreign guests coming to the G-20 conference can be ensured. The stations which were demanded to be closed. Those were the stations through which the VVIP convoy would pass.

Apart from this, these were the stations from where the VVIP guests stayed and the gates of the metro station opening towards the summit venue. Now according to the new order of Delhi Police, the new guideline for Delhi Metro is that the entry and exit of passengers will be restricted only at the Supreme Court Metro station. Although the metro will continue to pass through here. Now the rest of the stations will be open for passengers.
