Railways to run special trains between Kathgodam-Lucknow

Railways have decided to operate a special train between Kathgodam to Lucknow five days a week. Passengers must follow the COVID guidelines.

As per the order issued by the Northeast Railway, the train (05043) will run as a special train between Lucknow Junction and Kathgodam five days a week. It will operate from Lucknow Junction on every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from January 6 to 31. From there, this train will run at 11:25 pm and reach Kathgodam at 8:05 am.

In return, this train (05044) will run every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from Kathgodam from 7 to 1 February. Its departure time from here will be 11:45 am, which will reach Lucknow at 7:20 pm. A total of 15 coaches including two coaches of SLRD, six of General Secondary, three of Sleeper, two of Air-conditioned Third Class, one of Air-conditioned Second-class and one of Air-conditioned Chaircar will be fitted in this train.

People had to face a lot of trouble due to traffic stops during the Corona period. Apart from daily commuters, tourists are also going to get a lot of relief. Businessmen also look happy with this. People say that as it the number of trains running in the hills is less, due to the closure, more problems were being faced. But it will be a great relief from the move.
